Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Lawrence Ferlinghetti is a poet, social activist and is the co-founder of the famous City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco, California. He published many significant “Beat Generation” books under his City Lights imprint, including Howl, Alan Ginsburg’s seminal work. Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s own collection of poems, A Coney Island of the Mind has sold over one million copies.
